The National Trust property of Uppark was built c.1690 on the West Sussex Downs. On 30 August 1989, Uppark was severely damaged by fire. Its repair has been the most complicated The National Trust has ever undertaken. Designer in collaboration with HKD, the first part of the new interpretation tells the multiple stories of the house, its occupants and their collections. The second part is devoted to the story of the destruction by fire and the amazing restoration. Client:
