| A world class aquatic centre that
explores the rich diversity of life on the edge of the land. Living
Coasts is within a conservation area on a prominent coastal site adjacent
to a rocky cove. Among the demands of the orientation and way-finding
Architectural graphics brief for this complex and multi-levelled site was to design
an easy to navigate system that not only looked good but could withstand
the harsh climatic conditions of its proximity to the sea. The language
of the Architectural graphics design was informed by the surrounding harbour iconography,
with landmark signs stencilled onto reclaimed sea timbers. |
