A major regeneration project to upgrade
security, improve access and redesign the communal spaces of a large
1960s inner London housing estate. We worked in close collaboration
with architects Buschow Henley and their landscape consultants to
add environmental graphics and orientation Architectural graphics to the new scheme.
A bold graphic treatment applied to new gates give a distinct visual
identity to each entrance as well as addressing the needs of security
and access. Fabricated from a combination of fret-cut Corten steel
and painted enamel, each entrance has its own unique 'wallpaper' pattern.
Role: Wayfinding and graphic design, artwork, production and installation monitoring.
